Microvelia larva
A bulgy, ribbed little pellet this larva. No more than a running dot, that you easily loose sight
of, even at close range. I do not know to which Microvelia species this larva belongs, I do know
however that it was sitting near an adult Microvelia reticulata.
Below a picture of a somewhat older larva, unfortunately the top isn't quite sharp
depicted.
At last another two, not very clear, pictures of Microvelia larvae on a brook in the east of the
Netherlands, to show the bulgy appearance. The larva on the right picture is hanging from a piece of
wood just above the water with its right legs, that's why the posture seems a bit
peculiar.
