On the picture above we have a slant view from behind on Eurycercus sitting on a leaf margin. The legs, the head shield and a pair shell borders are well visible and, a little unsharp, two eggs in the breeding chamber on the back of the animal. The eye is not visible here. The back of the shell is out of focus and is better visible on the picture left. Please note on the top picture the hair fringe at the under backside of the shell and the right tailclaw which is just visible.
The right picture shows a crop of the top picture, enlarged to pixel level,to show some details. From the middle to top-left: the (black) claw, the hair fringes at the shell border and the (red) little "teeth" on the back of the tail.
Finally a picture of a female specimen in backlight, behind hair algae (which are out of focus). The (normal) eggs have a nice purple shining. On the left-bottom of the shell-halves the hair fringes are just visible.
