Pondweed bug, abdomen

The dense hair coat on Mesovelia's body is clearly visible on this picture. These hairs are greasy and water repellent. The Pondweed bug brushes and polishes often, to keep things well waxed. When the bug is fully waxed, the green color often is hidden by the strong shining, as you can seee below:
