Ilyocoris cimicoides
Saucer bug
The Saucer bug crawls away between the water plants, or tries to hide in the muddy ditch bottom,
especially when it suspects danger. On this picture the powerful beak is visible. The right hind leg
shows the large swimming hairs. The head is streamlined. The front legs, which are specialized to
catch prey, may also be used to stand and walk on.
