Opercularia sp.
A few sessile peritrichs, plucked from a Great Divingbeetle ♂

A second microscope film of a few Opercularia cells, filmed with a telephone above the microscope eyepiece, now at 100x magnification. Here too, the eddy currents are clearly visible as the spherical golden algae colonies Synura uvella are being flung around as they approach.
